Opened in 2023, the Indigo House is a modern bed & breakfast and private event space nestled on a hilltop with an enchanting grove and sprawling mountain views, outside of Charlottesville, Virginia.
Enjoy exclusive access to all five acres, including the home and its four guest rooms. An intimate, three-day property buyout at the Indigo House is ideal for gathering friends and family for an extended, backyard wedding weekend.
With our Inclusive Wedding Package, you get the best value for a stress-free wedding. Arrive on Friday and host a welcome dinner at one of the local breweries. On Saturday, get ready here at the Indigo House, surrounded by your favorite people. End the day with an outdoor ceremony and reception. Wake up Sunday morning to gorgeous mountain views and bittersweet goodbyes.

HOW IT WORKS
A wedding, even a micro wedding, requires many decisions, a bunch of logistics, and a dedicated team to bring the vision to life. We’ve lined up the essential vendors at discounted rates to streamline the process and save money.
During the planning process, choose from curated options within designated deadlines. We’ll confirm layout, timeline, and selections with you and the wedding coordinators before the big day.
On your wedding day, the vendor team works together, like a fine-tuned orchestra, to bring all the details together. With our Inclusive Wedding Package, you’ll enjoy a luxurious backyard wedding at a fraction of the stress and time it typically takes to plan one.
WHAT'S INCLUDED
Our inclusive package creates a luxurious backyard wedding at a fixed price for up to 50 guests. This package includes:
Lodging: Enjoy a two-night stay for 8-10 people.
Ceremony & Reception Venue: Event space for up to 50 people.
Wedding Planner & Event Management: Day of coordination services so you and your loved ones can be in the moment instead of managing a timeline and vendors.
Essential Rentals: From the chairs to the tent, we’ve got you covered! There are plenty of items you can add to further customize your event.
Dinner and Dessert: Bring the restaurant experience to your backyard wedding with apps, two proteins, three sides, a cutting cake, and 50 cupcakes for your guests to enjoy. Chefs can easily accommodate dietary restrictions or a brunch menu.
Florals: Seasonal and locally grown blooms to adorn your ceremony, two persons, and dining tables.
Decor Items: Select designs from our tablescape lookbook and items from our inventory of reusable decor, signage, and arbors. Also includes a microphone and Bluetooth speaker.
Trash Removal Services: Leave your personal trash and recycling in the garage and we’ll dispose of it for you.
Nonalcoholic Beverages: Welcome drinks and a water station to keep your guests hydrated. You can BYOB or hire a bartender for cocktails.
All Tips: Write two checks and pay your inclusive vendor team, including tips.
WHAT'S EXCLUDED
We’ve discovered some vendor selections are deeply personal and therefore, we’ve excluded them from the package so you can choose who is best for you.
This package excludes the following, but we can provide a list of recommendations:
Officiant: You have the freedom to ask a loved one to do the ceremony or hire a professional.
Photography/Videography: Select your own based on your budget and style preferences.
Entertainment: While this package includes a microphone and Bluetooth speaker (so you can play a playlist easily), if you want to bring in live music or a DJ, you’re welcome to!
Hair and Makeup: You can DIY here at the house, go to a salon, or bring in the experts.
Alcohol: We’ve included nonalcoholic drinks, but you can either hire a bartender or buy your own alcohol for a self-serve bar.
Weatherproofing: All of our ceremonies and receptions are held outdoors. If you want additional rental items, like tent walls, space heaters, or a fan to ensure comfort, we can help you with that.
POPULAR UPGRADES
Some couples will further personalize their event with the following:
Large Tent and Dance Floor: To accommodate a dance floor, you’ll need a larger tent than what is included. Due to its size, the tent must be installed on the parking lot instead of the side lawn.
Additional Weatherproofing: Add heaters, fans, and tent walls to ensure comfort.
Additional Florals: You can purchase additional bouquets, decorative arrangements, dog collars, and more.
Bartenders: We can provide a list of bartending services for you to choose from.
Additional Days: You can add a day for even more time together!

Because we only sell 12 wedding weekends a year, we can book up quickly. Booking is first-come, first-served.

Quiet hours are from 10 pm- 8 am; all amplified sound must be turned off at that time.
Pricing excludes taxes. Deposits are nonrefundable.

About the Owners
Married after dating long-distance for almost three years, Stephanie and Kyle have a deep appreciation for gathering.
We opened the Indigo House with a vision to bring people together. Often—at least this was the case for us—it’s the only time all your favorite people will be in the same place!
Stephanie is the primary point of contact leading up to your micro wedding. She can also plan a fun bachelorette weekend or a custom itinerary for your visiting guests.
About the Property
The Indigo House comes stocked with all the essential items for an enjoyable stay. With three living rooms, a beautiful kitchen, plenty of outdoor patio space (including a fire pit), and a private trail, there’s plenty of space to relax. Each of our four national park-inspired guest rooms is thoughtfully designed with comfort in mind. The house sleeps eight adults.
With the micro wedding, you have private access to the full five-acre property.
Dogs stay for free!
As a pet-friendly property, we welcome your dog(s) as flower pups, ring bearers, and really the most honored guest.

All the necessary rentals are included, which gives you even more time to relax with loved ones during your two-night stay at the Indigo House. Bonus: It’s a wedding at a fixed price, so you know exactly what you’re spending.
This inclusive wedding at the Indigo House is for the couple who know they want a wedding, but don’t actually want to spend a lot of energy to plan one. It’s for couples who dread navigating 20 different quotes, negotiating prices with each vendor, stressing about availability, or picking the type of flowers in their bouquet. It’s for couples who want to get married stress-free, but don’t want to compromise on quality or ambiance.
If you prefer to fully customize your wedding, then the DIY Micro Wedding package is ideal. You have full control of every vendor and detail, ensuring your ultimate vision. This approach can be less expensive, especially if you expect fewer than 35 people. Most couples spend between $15,000-25,000 for their DIY wedding at the Indigo House.

I would recommend the Indigo House to everyone I know. The house and the scenery are absolutely gorgeous and it provides an incredible space to host all of your favorite people! Stephanie and Kyle are so kind and helpful and are always there to help if you need something. They were a huge help in facilitating, which was a big relief since we lived out of town. We will never forget what a special weekend we had at the Indigo House and we will definitely be back for anniversary trips with our pup!

Can you tell me more about the food?
One of the best things about this package is the high-impact touches that elevate the experience without a huge markup. Food is one of them!
For the Inclusive Micro Wedding Package, we partner with Redbud Catering and Uncommon Cakes. For your reception, you and your guests will enjoy:
- A huge grazing board, perfect for happy hour. It includes imported meats and cheese, crudites, seasonal fruit, fresh bread, crackers, and more!
- A family-style or buffet-style dinner. It includes your choice of two mains (you choose from a list of eight). Delicious items like pasture-raised chicken, shrimp, salmon, trout, coq au vin, beef bourguignon, and pasta will make it easy to accommodate your guests. You’ll also select three sides from their expansive menu to accompany the meal. View a sample menu here.
- A cake to sweeten the night. Because every couple is unique, we source our cakes and cupcakes from Uncommon Cakes. You can choose from five delicious flavors such as creme brulee, strawberry shortcake, chocolate raspberry, cookies and cream, and pumpkin chai.
You’re welcome to arrange any additional food and drink (bar, late-night treats, pre-ceremony snack, dessert food truck, etc) to further personalize your event. The caterer can also serve a brunch buffet if you’d rather a morning ceremony!

For our Inclusive Micro Wedding, we work with the following vetted vendors:

- Florals: A and J Event Florals
- Catering: Redbud Catering
- Cake: Uncommon Cakes
- Tablescapes: Posey Picnics
You are not required to contact them for booking, payment, or planning. The Indigo House will handle all your logistics!
How does the lodging work? Is there more nearby?
Couples typically book Friday-Sunday or Saturday-Monday. Check-in is at 12 noon on the day of arrival. Check-out is at 12 noon on the day of departure. We ask that you have everything returned to the condition you found it in before leaving.
Want to make the most of a long weekend? Additional days or late check-out can be added to your package for an additional cost (example: Friday-Monday for a holiday wedding weekend).
If you need additional lodging, there are a lot of Airbnbs close by!
Do you require anything from me?
EVENT INSURANCE
We require couples to purchase liability wedding insurance. This isn’t as expensive or scary as it sounds. For event insurance, you can talk to a local insurance agent about a one-day special event liability policy or use any of these websites:
Your names will be listed on the policy as “insured.” The policy should be up to $1M. The Indigo House must also be listed as Certificate Holder. If you’re serving alcohol, inquire about adding Host Liquor Liability to your policy. We strongly recommend including postponement and cancellation coverage as part of your overall event general liability policy.

LIQUOR LICENSE
A liquor license is not required for self-serve bars.
ADDITIONAL COVERAGE
If you choose to host additional events (welcome dinner, brunch, etc) with over 20 people, we require an event coordinator. You can use the coordinator included in this package or hire someone else.

Is there parking for my guests?
Yes! You can fit about 20 cars in the parking lot and along the driveway. Overflow parking and shuttle services are available if you prefer to avoid cars in your pictures.
Looking for availability in October 2026 for my daughter. We are expecting 30 guests. Can you please provide more information on dates and options.
