I make goals every year. I also break them. Not all of them, but some. Trust me, you don’t want to miss our goals for 2023.

Most of the time, I meet with friends in January and we spend hours planning and envisioning what we want to come out of the next year. What books do we want to read? What places do we want to see? What relationships will we be super intentional with and what habits do we need to break because they aren’t serving us? It takes days, sometimes weeks, to decide on our commitments. Often, we change them up in July because life happens. We’ve learned to adapt.

But every year, we put pen to paper and chart out a course for the future. It’s beautiful and exciting and liberating. 

2023 is a little different for me. I am resolving to serve you, my friend. And your dogs (duh). We are here to celebrate your birthdays and anniversaries. To host your bachelorette weekend and yoga retreat. To stand alongside you as you vow to love your person until the end of time or gather as friends to share stories from the good-ol’-days. 

At the Indigo House, we make it easy for you to get out and explore. We’re the spot for generations of outdoorsy humans and kind dogs to hike and gather. Everyone is welcome here. Every story. Every celebration. Every one. 

Our intentions for the new year:

1. Never leave the dogs behind. We want to make it easy for you and your fur babies to get out and explore, so all dogs stay for free. Every time. Every breed. Every size. Because really… your pup would rather be with you than anyone else. 
2. Minimize our impact on plant Earth. From composting to resourcing, we have thought of every angle so you can better your life and the environment at the same time. 
3. Bring generations together. Our goal is to create a space for the next generation of B&Bers with modern conveniences. Everything is a mix of old and new. Even the house was newly constructed with antique floors, literally bridging time and materials.
