Because the leaves have fallen by Thanksgiving, “stick season” runs from December through early April (when the leaves return for spring). Despite the appearance of winter, we’re still known to have some warmish days in December, March, and April. It seems January, February, and March are more likely to bring unpredictable snow, sleet, or an afternoon of flurries.
Because winter is less popular for weddings, you may experience better rates or more available vendors to hire.
Even during stick season, the Indigo House offers a peaceful and romantic setting for your winter wedding.
A Winter Wonderland in March

When you book a venue that works because your honeymoon is the top priority. That’s what Jessie and Allen came to us with. They wanted a winter wedding before their amazing cruise! They opted for our all-inclusive wedding package and added a few extra vendors to make the event as seamless and easy as possible.

A Celestial Ceremony in March

Micaela and Adrian had the sweetest ceremony, surrounded by loved ones, beautiful florals from Horse and Hen and the tastiest funfetti cake with edible dried florals from Cake Bloom. Marla crafted the most heartfelt, celestial themed ceremony + vows and I don’t think there was a dry eye in the woods. Love is love and they had it in spades on a Wednesday night.
I enjoy all of our weddings but this one, this couple and their story really put unconditional love on display in the most heartfelt and moving way. To be seen and known by someone—to be loved for who you are today and who you will become—it’s a treasure to not be taken for granted. It’s what we all want, what we all search for. And they found it. So on the first warm day of the year, they made vows and started their next adventure here at the Indigo.
