Adventure Awaits at this Staycation-Worthy Bed & Breakfast in Nelson County, Virginia
Kyle and Stephanie Thomas are excited to share that The Indigo House was recently featured on the acclaimed travel show Staycation. The episode captures the beauty of the Shenandoah and Rockfish Valleys and what makes an Indigo getaway so memorable. Millennial innkeepers, Stephanie and Kyle, offer a fresh take on the traditional B&B experience with modern luxuries, farm-to-fork meals, and, of course, dogs always stay for free!
Welcome to The Indigo House!

As shown in the episode, the dog-friendly B&B includes:
- Four national park-inspired guestrooms, each sleeping two adults
- Three indoor living rooms and plenty of outdoor hangout spaces
- Breakfast served daily with locally roasted coffee and afternoon desserts
- Sweeping mountain views and low-key vibes
- Eco-friendly toiletries, linens, and operations to reduce our impact on the land and community
- The perfect space for the backyard wedding of your dreams
Unlike a large hotel or even a vacation rental, the B&B experience really gives you a chance to connect.
In such a digital and disconnected world, you’re able to come here and feel grounded.

And the best time of year to hike them! Of course, you can explore them anytime you visit, but we find this helps you see waterfalls at the peak or avoid the buggiest trails in July.
