Our intentional approach…
We’ve obsessed over every detail of your experience so each visit will be one to remember. But in order to continue offering unforgettable getaways, we must acknowledge the privilege to enjoy the land that surrounds the Indigo House. It is our job to respect and protect the planet by minimizing our impact on it.
Guests help honor and preserve the land in so many meaningful ways:
- By supporting us, you are also supporting the National Parks Foundation. We donate a portion of the proceeds to protect our parks.
- In with the old. We designed the interiors to reuse locally sourced antiques. This reduced our reliance on shipping and mass-made products overseas. Don’t forget to look down while you’re here; the flooring is reclaimed from a dairy barn and fence posts.
- We don’t buy everyday things online. Our menu is stocked with goodies to reduce our carbon footprint and support the local economy. We refill the toiletries and cleaning supplies in bulk from regional providers, which provides us with super-effective natural, plant-based products that also protect the organisms in our waterways.
- Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle. We offer backpacks and picnic baskets to help you pack in (and out) the items you need without polluting our trails and waterways. We prioritize reusable items for our meals and invite you to recycle your trash and compost your food waste to reduce what ends up in the landfill.
